For Winter 2024, we present a thoughtful homage to our roots and a fresh step forward under the creative direction of brand founder Camella Ehlke. This collection bridges eras by incorporating vintage pieces from @StorageBased & Ehlke’s archive alongside contemporary designs, some hand-sewn in Ehlke’s Brooklyn studio.
We emphasized craftsmanship and narrative this season. Ehlke’s hand-sewn creations, from tapestry-like garment monsters to a patchwork hoodie chair, present a compelling case for repurposed textiles and inspire conversation about fashion’s excessive footprint. At the heart of the collection is the tie hat, an iconic emblem of Triple 5 Soul’s heritage which was famously worn by the likes of De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest and was sold at legendary shops like Pat Feilds. The campaign video captures the essence of this collection and is set to an original Y2K musical arrangement by Benji B, a longtime friend of Camella’s.
“We want our sensibility to inspire creativity,” Ehlke explained, “whether that means rethinking how we use vintage, embracing the art of repurposing, or simply looking at fashion as a form of personal expression.”
With its mix of history, sustainability, and humor, our Winter 2024 collection blends the past and present into an innovative and creative vision for today's world.
